Bridge42 was proud to be involved in a recently completed $64 million project at Hollywood Private Hospital (Hollywood) for the construction and delivery of the new Hollywood Consulting Centre and expansion of The Hollywood Clinic.
Hollywood is part of ASX-listed Ramsay Health Care (Ramsay), a global health care company and one of Western Australia’s most significant hospital operators. This major development in Nedlands enables Hollywood to provide care and treatment to a greater number of patients, effectively addressing the growing need for medical specialists and mental health services within the community.
Bridge42 was engaged by Ramsay as Project Manager and Superintendent in 2018. The Hollywood Consulting Centre was completed in March 2020 and expansion of The Hollywood Clinic in April 2020. Both are currently operating and fitout of the 37 consulting suites is underway.
From the outset, the project fostered a ‘one team’ culture amongst all stakeholders and suppliers which facilitated collaborative resolution of challenges and positive outcomes.

Hollywood Consulting Centre
The new five-storey Hollywood Consulting Centre comprises:
- The Perth Breast Cancer Institute and Breast Cancer Research Centre of WA
- A radiology practice specialising in cancer imaging
- Two radiotherapy bunkers
- A state-of-the-art Endoscopy Suite with four procedure rooms, 17 bed bays and 14 discharge pods
- 37 medical consulting rooms
- 280-bay multi-storey car park
When open, Hollywood Private Hospital will become the first private hospital in WA with an integrated radiotherapy treatment facility. It brings together leading experts to focus on the early diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cancers.
Hollywood will serve as a ‘one stop shop’ where patients can seek treatment with medical and radiation oncologists, haematologists, surgeons, radiologists, nurse specialists, allied health and mental health professionals – all on one campus.
Mental Health Unit
With one in five people experiencing mental health issues in any given year, and an 85 per cent rise in psychiatry admissions at Hollywood since 2013, The Hollywood Clinic‘s expansion will help the hospital care for more patients, including those who want to remain in the community.
The completed two-storey mental health unit includes:
- A purpose-built mental health day hospital
- 31-bed inpatient ward
- 310 square metre landscaped courtyard with gardens
This development increases the total number of inpatient mental health beds available to 101, making The Hollywood Clinic one of the largest private mental health facilities in WA.
