Ross Donaldson

Chairman

Ross Donaldson is Chairman of the Board of Bridge42 and works closely with the Leadership Team across vision, business strategy, market identity and positioning.

Ross comes to Bridge42 with a long career within the construction industry, most recently since 2006 as CEO and Chairman of Woods Bagot, Australia’s largest and only global architectural practice. Woods Bagot grew under Ross’s leadership, from a mid-size Australian practice to be the world’s 6th largest in 2015 and named equal 7th as the ‘most admired firm’, judged amongst its peers in a World Architecture survey in 2016.

This experience has given him a deep understanding of the dynamics of business, as well as the development and investment drivers of the construction industry.

Ross’s other passions include a rich background in tertiary education spanning over 40 years. He continues to teach at Curtin University and The University of Western Australia (UWA), including advising on curriculum.

He currently sits on the national Climate Action and Sustainability Taskforce (CAST) established by the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).

He also provides business strategy advice to a variety of construction industry-related companies and mentors mid-career professionals.
