Property and Development Advisory Leader Justine Roberts Joins Bridge42

Justine Roberts Development Director

Bridge42 has appointed Justine Roberts as Development Director, based out of the Australian consulting firm’s Perth office, where she will be responsible as the West Coast Advisory Lead.

Bridge42 Managing Director, Andrew Durkin, said the appointment of Ms Roberts was in response to the company’s strategic growth plans and increasing nationwide Advisory services portfolio.

“Justine is a recognised and highly respected leader in large-scale and mixed-use developments having spent 20+ years operating within the Australian and American property markets,” Mr Durkin said.

“We have been searching for the right person to help drive our accomplished Advisory service offering, so we are very fortunate to have secured someone of Justine’s calibre who brings exceptional skills in property advisory, development advisory and portfolio management.

“Importantly, Justine’s approach to collaborative problem-solving – providing bespoke advice in a challenging property and construction market – is in complete alignment with Bridge42’s ability to think differently in terms of value creation and delivering transformative outcomes for our clients and their projects.”

Bridge42 Director, Damian Fasher who oversees the company’s Advisory division, said that Ms Roberts’ significant experience in working with government and developers will unlock high-value commercial returns and optimise end-user outcomes.

Mr Fasher said, “Justine has been involved in realising billions of dollars of development, particularly across a significant portfolio of residential sector projects across the entire housing continuum.”

“Given the ongoing housing and affordability crisis nationwide, Justine’s expertise in land development, masterplanned communities, mixed-use apartments, build-to-rent, social and affordable housing, crisis accommodation, specialist disability accommodation and other residential development typologies will be invaluable.

“Her proven business acumen and leadership capabilities will also be assets to our business and for our clients.”

Commenting on the appointment, Ms Roberts said she was excited to be working alongside a well-regarded and world-class team at Bridge42.

“I was attracted to the strength of Bridge42’s transdisciplinary team, as well as the fact that the company’s culture, ethics and values matched with mine,” Ms Roberts said.

“The diversity and scale of Bridge42’s national, multi-sector project portfolio inspires me to think about the future opportunities we will have to continue shaping Australia’s cities and communities.

“I am passionate about creating beautiful places for people to live, work and play, and I believe in delivering quality, creative and profitable outcomes on every project, regardless of typology or budget.

“In complementing my roles on industry committees and as an independent board member for various organisations, Bridge42 provides me with a national platform to put my skills and experience to good use and make a bigger difference in the development industry.”

Ms Roberts is a residential, mixed-use specialist with national, international and local experience in the strategic leadership of large-scale land and property developments up to $2.25 billion in value.

She previously managed the development of Ellenbrook, Australia’s largest and most awarded masterplanned development. She has held the role of General Manager of aspirational home building brand, Webb & Brown-Neaves; and Vice President of Development for leading American developers, Carmel Partners LLC and ZRZ Realty Company. She was also involved in the $800 million high-rise, mixed-use dual tower project at Elizabeth Quay in Perth.

Ms Roberts’ build-to-rent experience has included the development of more than 2,200 units of build-to-rent apartments in the United States from concept to completion, operation and asset management. In recent years, she has provided specialist advice and development management on more than 2,000 build-to-rent apartments across Australia.
