About This Project

Originally opened in 1936 and expanded by North Sydney Council in 2001, North Sydney Olympic Pool will undergo a major redevelopment focussing on an increase of infrastructure and services to promote the participation of all ages and abilities, while preserving the facility’s iconic art deco heritage.

The redevelopment will see the delivery of a multi-purpose leisure and recreation facility, including an array of aquatics areas, a new 50m pool, a warm-water pool, a 1,000sqm gym and health club, accessible change facilities, and a food and beverage offer.

Our Involvement

Aligned stakeholder objectives with Government funding initiatives to enable the redevelopment, creating sustainable commercial returns to support long-term community health outcomes.

Led best-practice design approaches to realise efficiencies across aquatics water bodies, balanced with other complimentary leisure and recreation uses.

Developed a strategic business case resulting in an increase to the overall budget to support delivery of revenue-generating asset outcomes, and renewal of ‘end-of-life’ and heritage elements to greatly improve longevity.
