About This Project

The Powerhouse Precinct Redevelopment centres around new and adaptive reuse of the existing Powerhouse building, built in the 1920s and located on the banks of the famous Murray River.

The historic Powerhouse building, adjacent car park and surrounds will be transformed into a flexible events space and tourism offering to create a vibrant cultural, community and commercial hub for locals and visitors to enjoy.

This project is the first phase of Stage 2 of the overall Mildura Riverfront Precinct Redevelopment, one of the region’s most exciting public works projects to establish Mildura as Victoria’s most significant inland river city.

Transformative Outcomes

+ Conducted feasibility and market sounding exercises which identified potential commercial operating issues upfront.

+ Undertook value management at key design gateways to successfully realign the project with budget.

+ Led a two-stage procurement EOI and RFT process to ensure high-quality tenderers were shortlisted.

+ Working with Council to administer multiple government funding arrangements, including milestones and requirements for an additional $3m+ in grants secured.
