We’re pleased to be partnering with Merri-bek City Council in Melbourne as Strategic Property Advisor on the Central Coburg masterplan!
Working across six council-owned sites, we have led precinct-scale analysis, feasibility testing, market research, and delivery planning.
We have provided a clear understanding of the project’s market readiness and helped shape a practical, flexible delivery strategy.
The masterplan will adapt to changing market conditions, funding opportunities, and partnership models, while actively managing risk across staged development.
Central Coburg delivers a strong mix of community, economic, and social outcomes for this diverse area. The new Coburg Library and Piazza will create a vibrant civic heart at it centre.
The project includes approximately 1,000 new homes, with more than 20% dedicated to social and affordable housing. In addition, 5,000m² of retail, commercial, and community space will support the local economy.
Public realm improvements include around 6,000m² of open space, over 200 new trees, and pedestrian-friendly streets that will celebrate Coburg’s diversity and character.

→ For council, it provides an evidence-based roadmap that moves the project from vision to delivery, supported by robust risk management and clear staging.

Central Coburg will be delivered in five stages, with ongoing consultation shaping final staging, governance, and delivery pathways.
The first stage — the library and piazza — is already underway and progressing through Council processes.
