Through a Public-Private Partnership with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Randwick City Council is seeking to deliver a major integrated elite and community sporting asset, with pathways participation and community health & wellbeing at its forefront.
The Heffron Centre will be the “first of its kind” in NSW and seeks to fulfill a multitude of ambitious community needs, including:
- Promoting greater cohesion of the Rabbitoh’s high performance and administration functions within its Community & High-Performance Centre.
- Work in tandem with a purpose-built Indoor Sports & Gymnastics Centre and elite-standard Playing Field
- Deliver exemplary facilities focused on promoting the growth of sporting participation, community health and wellbeing.
· Promote education and employment opportunities for marginalised and less-fortunate youth.
