About This Project

Through a Public-Private Partnership with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Randwick City Council is seeking to deliver a major integrated elite and community sporting asset, with pathways participation and community health & wellbeing at its forefront.

The Heffron Centre will be the “first of its kind” in NSW and seeks to fulfill a multitude of ambitious community needs, including:

  •         Promoting greater cohesion of the Rabbitoh’s high performance and administration functions within its Community & High-Performance Centre.
  •         Work in tandem with a purpose-built Indoor Sports & Gymnastics Centre and elite-standard Playing Field
  •         Deliver exemplary facilities focused on promoting the growth of sporting participation, community health and wellbeing.

·         Promote education and employment opportunities for marginalised and less-fortunate youth.

Our Involvement

Instrumental in igniting the ambition to realise Council and the Rabbitohs’ decade-long vision, fast tracking within an 18-month timeframe, from inception through to construction commencement.

Curation and leadership of an industry-leading team to develop an integrated sporting precinct, which will be seen as a benchmark in co-located elite sporting and community facilities for years to come.

Optimising the balance between quantifiable user and commercial outcomes through the development of a flexible and adaptable Brief, enabling financial sustainability whilst maximising social benefits.
