About This Project

Thornbury High School has been delivering on a transformative masterplan to reimagine its campus, expand learning opportunities for students, and provide the local community with access to first-class learning, sporting and performance facilities.

Stage 2 of the redevelopment includes the construction of a new two-level Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Centre plus the upgrade and modernisation of existing school facilities.

The cutting-edge STEAM Centre will provide a purpose-built learning environment which includes modern teaching, break out and presentation spaces; science laboratories; as well as a ceramics, textiles, food technology and fabrication workshop.

    month programme delay recovered

+ Recovered a two-month delay by expediting the design programme to meet critical construction commencement dates and minimise disruption to school operations.

+ Led an innovative tender and contract negotiation process which achieved the best value for money outcomes and mitigated risk for all stakeholders.

+ Identified a significant opportunity to improve VSBA’s tendering process through lessons learned which has been adopted by VSBA on all future projects.

+ Gained valuable experience and insights through our engagement on multiple school projects in VSBA’s portfolio.
